Dr. Joshua Alexander Lee

Richmond Hill (formerly of Rocky Ford and Sylvania) – Dr. Joshua Alexander Lee, age 92, passed away at Hospice Savannah, on Tuesday, February 11, 2017. He was born in Rocky Ford, GA to the late Carson & Leola Collins Lee and was a Veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Missouri. He was a former member of Goloid United Methodist Church, a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and was a former member of Sylvania Rotary Club. He also worked at the U.S.D.A. Cotton Breeders Station at North Carolina State in Raleigh, where he taught graduate students and served as Director for over 30 years, until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son: David Alexander Lee; Sisters: Mary L. Neder, Julia Davis and Hilda Rahn; Brothers: Earl Lee, Carson Lee, Jr. and Gary Lee.

Survivors: Daughter: Martha A. Lee of Carrboro, NC; 6 Step-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
