

Sylvania – LaRose Marie Brower Shirah, age 67, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
She was born September 8, 1947, to the late Jesse Carlton (Dick) and Josephine (Josie) Volf Brower. in Chatham County, Georgia. She had worked for Piggly-Wiggly, Harvey's and presently for KJ's Market in Sylvania, as a Price Scanning Coordinator and was a member of Douglas Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by Her Daughter, Shelia L. Shirah as well as her parents.
Survivors: Husband: Steve R. Shirah of Sylvania; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Linda B. & Steve Cooper and Ann B. Crews, all of Sylvania and Susan B. & Jim Rhodes of Albany, GA; Grandchildren: Shane Cooper, Mandy McNure, Bailey McNure, Laura McNure, Jesse Rempe, Kaylee Dutton and Lydia Rempe; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shirah will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rudine Becton officiating. Burial will be in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning preceding the service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M
Active Pallbearers will be: Brandon Shirah, Josh Martin, Dean McNure, Johnny Brower, Don Brower and Andy Belcher.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Members of the Savannah Ladies Elks Auxiliary and members of the Douglas Branch Baptist Church.
