Newington – Reba Morgan Stewart, age 87, passed away October 22, 2010 at Syl-View Health Care Center in Sylvania. She was born in Screven County, was a retired clerk from Brannen’s Grocery in Newington and was a member of Newington Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Carson Albert Stewart, Jr.; Parents: John David and Georgia Elizabeth Walker Morgan; Step-Daughter: Gloria Bryant; Sisters: Bertha M. Jenkins, Willene M. Beard, Adel M. Robertson and Elizabeth Morgan; Brother: J.D. Morgan, Jr.

Survivors: Brother: Walker Morgan of Savanna; Three Grandchildren; Four Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Newington Baptist Church with Rev. Don Scarborough officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial at Newington City Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Dennis Morgan, Glenn Morgan, Bret Smoak, Charlie Jenkins, Jimmy Jenkins, George Jenkins, Ralph Beard, Tommy Beard and Terry Beard. Honorary Pallbearers: Newington Baptist Church Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
