Thomas Sonny Freeman Dickey Jr.

SYLVANIA, GEORGIA

Mr. Thomas Freeman "Sonny" Dickey, Jr. 81, of Sylvania, died Friday, October 10, 2014, at his residence.

He was born July 28, 1933, in Screven County, Georgia to the late Thomas Freeman and Ella Bell Scott Dickey. He retired as a chef from the U. S. Navy and following his Naval retirement, he worked with the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Red. Bluff Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nell D. Yeomans.

Surviving Mr. Dickey are two sisters, Marilyn M. Dickey of Statesboro and Margaret D. Daley of Pasadena, Texas. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Graveside services for Mr. Dickey will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 3:00 P.M. at the Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Mann officiating.
