

Oliver – Tina Marie Wasdin Brooks, age 56, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014, at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro. She was born in Norfolk, VA, worked as a bakery associate at Wal-Mart and was a member of Little Ogeechee Baptist Church where she taught children’s class and was pianist for years. She was also a graduate of Ogeechee Technical College. She was preceded in death by her Parents: James Raymond & Alma Louise Carter Wasdin; Brothers: Jim Wasdin and Roger Wasdin; Step-Mother: Tharon Bandy Wasdin.
Survivors: Husband: Rodney Brooks of Oliver, GA; Daughter and Fiancé: Christina Elizabeth Brooks and Joey Carmon; Sons: James William Parrish of Brooklet and Jeremy Ryan Parrish of Statesboro, GA; Step-Son: David Buckley of El Paso, TX; Sister: Rhonda Louise Wasdin of Oliver, GA; Grandchildren: Autumn Rhines, Alexus Parrish and Xavier Reid Parrish; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Little Ogeechee Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Edenfield officiating. Burial following at Little Ogeechee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jimmy Ondriezek, James W. Parrish, Jeremy Parrish, Joey Carmon, Jimmy Roberts, Ed Barrs, Casey Neely and Craig Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers: Deacons and Adult Sunday School Class of Little Ogeechee Baptist Church.
