I have thought of Robert every single day since 1978.  I still have my 25-year old bird named Bobby after him.  My deepest heartfelt condolences to the family for this great life cut too short.

Robert was and still is in the heart of my family. It was a severe loss to all of us. He was quiet yet caring man. He will always be loved and missed. I pray for his immediate family especially his brother Larry who happens to be a brother to me. I want him to find relief in that he will see his brother again. Robert was an extremely empathetic man yet quiet with a great since of humor. He understood the value of his family. Robert and Larry labored with the health of their mother and made sure they could do everything to help her within the last year. They were both successful in helping their mother get back on her feet and they never deterred from doing more than was asked. It shows a value that is not typical of two brothers who were different yet had the same values. Knowing Larry  as my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law Linda and my niece Christy and my Nephew Lou, this was a shock that they lost someone so close to them at such an early age. Robert loved all of them as you could see it in his eyes. I was happy to share that part of his life. In loving all of them as my own blood I can only pray for them to heal and be there for them as an uncle and a brother. I pray for Louis and Nina as parents to Robert to find peace and remember that Robert gave of himself yet asked for very little. As a parent to lose a child  or a brother to lose his younger brother is tragic and the loss is really to them while Robert is in peace with God at his side. I hope this helps brings peace to the family. The final chapter has not been written  because Robert still gives as we speak,the empathy and the caring of the family is a trait that Robert was able to pass down to his family. Its a Family trait that I see in Larry everyday and this gift will be carried forward forever. So Robert lives forever in his gift to his family and the friends he knew.

Like Nina, I, too, was in Bob's high school graduating class.  To this very moment, the image I hold is Bob's smile... always smiling.  He is the hands of our savior, now.  I pray for the happy repose of his soul.  My prayers to all Bob's family and friends.  Deacon Chris Chandonnet

Although i may not have seen Uncle Rob often, every time i did he brought smiles to everyones faces. As I've heard, thanksgiving is his favorite holiday, and now he can be spending thanksgiving everyday up in heaven. Uncle Rob especially meant so much to me because he played such an important role in my Uncle Larry's, Aunt Linda's, Christies and Lou's life. Although we are sad to see him go, through our strong sense of our beliefs we know that he's in a much better place. You will be missed Uncle Rob

We are sending thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to Lou and the entire Paparella family.  This comes from the entire staff at FRP Fabricators, Inc. in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.  During this rough time please remember all those good times with Bob.  They will sustain you during the days ahead.

I am sad to hear of Roberts passing,he had such a brilliant mind and  was always kind to all.  I have thought of him often since graduation , As I was always in awe of these amazing  qualities that God gave him. Rest in peace my friend .

I worked with Bob Paparella for several years and we got to know each other fairly well.  Bob was always genuinely interested to know how things were going outside of work.  He always had a kind word for me.  I am saddened to hear of his passing.  He will be missed but will always be fondly remembered by those who knew him.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Uncle Rob was truly an amazing person and was always so pleasurable to be around.  Ill always think about how he gave Chocolate extra pepperoni and how much Chocolate loved him.  Now Uncle Rob is in heaven giving Chocolate tons of pepperoni and other amazing foods.  Uncle Rob was really lucky to have  Uncle Larry and his family. I know that because I am so lucky to have Uncle Larry and his family. I love you  Uncle Larry so much and I'm really grateful to have you.I love you Uncle Rob and I'm thankful you had Uncle Larry and are with God and Chocolate.

Words cannot express how profoundly sad I am that my brother-in-law, Robert, has passed on.  He was the highlight of every holiday and occasion. He always made everyone laugh.  He took an interest in everyone and asked thoughtful and insightful questions to find out what was going on in my life and my family's life.  He treated Christina and Lou as though they were his children.  He was genuinely interested in everything they did.  Robert was sooo intelligent and gave the best advice.  I am so comforted that the Lord drew Robert to Himself last year.  What we think is our worst nightmare, the Lord turns into our greatest blessing.  I am confident that he is in Heaven with God the Father, Jesus, Nan, Aunt Ann, Chocolate and all the other people who loved him dearly.  Rob, I know you are dancing and singing with joy right now--doing all the things you couldn't do in your earthly body.  I will miss you every day until I see you again in Heaven for all eternity!!

I'm so sad to see my Uncle Rob go not only because he was a great man who loved and supported me throughout my endeavors but because he was my father's best friend. No one made my dad happier than to see my uncle and nothing makes me happier than to see my dad happy. My uncle's favorite holiday is coming up (Thanksgiving) and my family was looking forward to seeing him and having his delicious pies. Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve will never be the same again. Thank you, Uncle Rob, for all the great laughs and insightful wisdom you brought to the table. Thank you for taking an interest in engineering and dental school, not only by always asking about it but also supporting me financially. You are a kind and loving person. We will miss you.

A very gentle and kind man, Uncle Rob was like a second father to me and my sister.  He was always very interested in our lives and went to great lengths to make sure we were doing well.  Sad to see him go right before his favorite holiday.  He will certainly be missed at the table this Thanksgiving.

To my brother's many friends: Thank you for the kind words and sentiments expressed here. He was a larger than life character who will be sorely missed, especially by me and my family. He was smart, articulate caring and an integral part of my life. We couldn't solve all the problems but we never stopped talking about them. There is a very large hole in my life that will never be filled. You should all know he looked very peaceful at the end, sitting on the floor with his head resting on the side of the mattress of his bed. My guess is that he felt something, sat on the floor, and tried to rest hoping it would pass and the Lord took him. He was my brother, and my best friend.

I have many fond childhood memories of Robert. He was a wonderful person. So sorry...... Mina, Louis, Larry, Linda, Christina and  Louis.

We would visit each other and discuss so many intellectual issues of the day. He had a great mind. He was also very funny and had a very humerous  side to his legal mind! There were a number of friends who were very close with and I counted myself info them. I'm so sorry for the loss of Bob to your family.
