Dear Lafferty family, 

I didn't know Timothy beyond walking past him in the halls of Syosset High School. Yet, hearing of his passing deeply saddened me, as we were in the same graduating class and elementary school.

Even after all this time, I remember we were in the same kindergarten and 1st grade classes in Berry Hill. What I clearly remember is how upbeat and happy he was. Even on the playground he had a strong sense of righteousness and morality. I also remember that even as a child, he was extremely proud of his being half Swedish, and these memories are what I instantly associate with him. I'm sure he grew up to be an outstanding person based on who he was as a child.

I'm truly sorry for your loss, and your family is in my thoughts.

I didn't know Tim that well, but we spent the past year working in the same office and I am shocked and saddened by this news. Little did you know you had an impact on me and ill always remember you. Praying for you and your family every day.

Tim was in my First Grade class during my first year teaching at Berry Hill. I am lucky to have spent 182 days getting to know him. I remember Tim’s gentle and kind spirit, his charming shy smile and how much he loved his family. He adored his siblings. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
