Vicki, so sorry to hear of your mother's passing.  I remember her infectious smile when she worked the restaurant at Erie Blvd. and all the laughs we used to have. May she rest in peace.

Moms...You and dad's unparalleled devotion was our stability. Your love for each-other and Joey,Vicky, Patty and I was evident in every breath you both took.

My up-bringing was the most wonderful period of my life...the ever-present love and laugher were beyond measure...with the customary hot pot of coffee on the stove and pastries on the table...the doors to your home and your hearts were always unrestriced and inviting to all at anytime.

You allowed our friends full access to our home and became a part of their lives as well.

Our home was always festive and full with family and friends and friends of friends... and even the frequent solitary soul that you both could not bear them being alone on the holidays.

The welcoming charm and the inherent regard instantly allowed all that crossed our door-step to feel a true sense of belonging...your laughs and wit combined with dad and your light-hearted banter brought joy to everyone.

I love you mom...you and dad allowed me to be me without judgement or penalty allowing the presence of your constant love to be evident all-ways! You both embraced Ulysses as family and I revel in the gift of of your nurturing the man I AM this moment.

Although the absence or your physical presence will always descry an emptyness...I trust in The Infinite Invisible the peace not of this world.
The memory of our constant boisterous laughs together...your delightful and welcoming smile and your heart of gold sustain me until we meet again.

Mom ...Alot of people may say their mother was their best friend...Well I think I can speak for Joe, Pat, Coss and myself in saying...You were not. You were our Mother. The most important role a woman can play. And you did it very well..The best of any mom I know. You may not have agreed with alot of the things that we did but you were always there for each and everyone of us. Bad, Good or Indifferent. You are now where you have always wanted to be, And that is with Dad. Please give him a big hug and kiss from all of us and tell him how much we have missed him..We are also going to miss you Ang...More than you'll ever know...Don't worry about us. To Angie's children Joey, Patty, Vickie and Cos and to Ed and Patty - we are so very sorry for your loss.  My family is weeping too because we lost her and after losing our dad, Elmer, in early Feb.  Your mom was a very funny, sweet, beautiful and talented person inside & outside and in many ways reminded me of my mom.  She made everyone laugh and they made each other laugh and sometimes cry.  The two of them were such lovebirds, even after almost 17 years of marriage and alot of challenges - they still deeply loved and were devoted to each other.  My dad visited her as much as he could when he was driving and after he stopped he continued to call her whenever he possible and always thought of her.  
Even though they were a second marriage for each other, their relationship reminded me so much of the movie "The Notebook". We took my dad to see your mom the very next day after we discovered his advanced lung cancer.  Your mom's face lit up like a 16 year old. Whenever he left after a visit, he would tell her, "I'll see you tomorrow." and she'd say the same both knowing it might be in heaven.

I visited your mom a couple of weeks ago and she was in pain and cantankerous - but I got her to laugh by reminding her my son was born because of her encouragement, how tall and handsome he has gotten and how the girls will soon be after him and if she were young again she'd be Shaking her booty at him and she laughed.  We prayed the Lord's prayer together as my dad always had with her before I left.

God's Peace to each of you for she is now in the very best of hands, out of pain and with all her loved ones who have gone before.

So sorry to hear about your Mom.  She was such a loving and caring person.  I remember when I moved into the house next door on Douglas 30 years ago, she made me feel like part of the family.   I will always remember those days in my life as happy and secure times and allot of it has to do with your Mom and Dad.
