Charles Keene Jr.

Charles Roosevelt Keene, Jr., 76, departed this life on Friday, June 3, 2011. Charles was born on January 21, 1935, the son of the late Charles Roosevelt Keene, Sr. and Elnora Opher Keene. After high school, Charles joined the United States Air Force. Charles met and married the late Gloria Jean Kearse of Syracuse. His second marriage was to the late Margaret Keene of Syracuse.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his companion, Barbara Dawson of Syracuse; four sons, Charles R. Keene, III, Dewayne (Regina) Keene and Christian Keene all of Syracuse and James Keene of Rochester; four daughters, Teresa Keene and Darlene Keene both of Rochester, Charlotte and Shannon Keene both of Syracuse; one brother; four sisters; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 12 p.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME.

Friends may call before the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.

Burial will be private.
