Minnie D. Beagles

Minnie (Whitehead) Beagles, 72, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at University Hospital with her family by her side. She spent most of her life in Syracuse where she attended city schools. For over 30 years, Minnie operated a Day care out of her home. She was predeceased by her son, Marcellus Whitehead and her daughter, MaryAnne Bradwell.

Survivors: Her husband of 25 years, Wilbert Beagles; two sons, Joseph Whitehead and Roderick Ferebee; six daughters, Minnie Williams, Christine Rucker, Martha Scott, Shelvy Robinson, Bernice Anderson, Jacqueline Whitehead, and Shanette Alexander; one brother, Floyd Reed, Jr.; two sisters, Mary E. Acklin and Mordell Outley; 45 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchildren.

Calling hours: Saturday 10-11 a.m. with funeral services, which will be officiated by Bishop J. Smiley, will follow at St. Luke’s Baptist Church, 216 Lexington Ave, Syracuse.

Burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
