Pietro Russo

Pietro Russo, 31, of Syracuse, passed away suddenly on Sunday. He was born in Naples, Italy. Pietro will be remembered for his funny, good sense of humor, good heart, and for being very friendly. He will be deeply missed. He was predeceased by his sister, Anna Russo-Young in 2012.

Survivors include his parents, Carmine and Domenica Russo; sisters, Gilda (Bruno) Tammaro of Naples, Italy and Sandra (Ralph) Madonna of Syracuse; brother, Michele Russo; his longtime companion, Melissa Bower; brother-in-law, Justin Young; nieces and nephews, Junior, Mara, Carmen, Karl, Maria, Nica, and Francesco; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday 9:15 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral home and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei /St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
