Rebecca Gray, 69, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday at University Hospital. She was born in South Hampton, VA and worked in environmental services at the Jewish Home and University Hospital. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed babysitting.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Lafrances (James) Gray-Davis; son, Lacross Gray; sister, Laura (Jimmie) Jackson; brothers, Bernard Lankford and Linwood Lankford (Elizabeth); five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; father of her children, Willie Gray; significant other, Bernard Phelps; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Calling hour will be held Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m with a service to follow at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 372 W. Matson Ave., Syracuse.
