

Richard N. Malley, 80, passed away Sunday at home surrounded by his family. He was a life resident of Syracuse and a graduate of Eastwood High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War serving on the USS Wright and Artisan Carriers. He retired from UTC Carrier after 40 years of service. Richard was an avid New York Yankees fan and lover of all sports. He coached CYO basketball at Blessed Sacrament for 15 years where he won several city league championships. One of his greatest joys was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Predeceased by his parents, William and Rose Malley; and brother, William C. Malley.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Frances (Condur) Malley; daughters, Tracy (John) Pelose of Syracuse and Lisa (Scott) Dillman of Tennessee; grandchildren, Brian and Brandon Pelose, and Rachel Vanslyke; brother, Ronald (Jill) Malley of Webster; sister, Patricia (Donn) Ianuzi of Vestal.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 8:45 A.M. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 A.M. in Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
