Sue M. Nuzzo

Sue Marie Mastrangelo Nuzzo, 97, of Syracuse passed away Monday. A life resident of Syracuse, Sue was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church and the Holy Name Society. Sue was an active figure skater in her younger years and was a member of the Syracuse Figure Skating Club. She taught skating for the Syracuse Parks and Recreation to young children whom she adored. She was also a member of the International Figure Skating Association and traveled to competitions in the USA and Canada. She took an active interest in helping the elderly by driving them to grocery stores and shopping centers. She was a gregarious woman with a great sense of humor. Sue had a great deal of musical sensitivity and loved playing the piano and taking lessons. She will be remembered by her wonderful smile, her laughter and her friendliness.

Predeceased by her husband, Thomas Nuzzo.

Survivors: Her sons, Anthony (Anna) Nuzzo of Jamesville and Ronald Nuzzo of Manlius; grandchildren, Tracy, Tony, Theresa, Melissa, Andrea, Steven, Erica, Tom and Cara; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Valley Dr., Syracuse. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
