Francisco Martinez Sauceda

Francisco Martinez Sauceda passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the age of 77. He was born in Taft, Texas, to Maria and Juan Sauceda on May 11, 1936. Francisco worked for twenty-one years for Merrell Leasing Services, Gregory, Texas. Before his retirement, he farmed several years for Bill Wendland. Francisco loved to fish and barbeque with his family. His grandchildren adored and loved him. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria F. Sauceda; his parents; four brothers and two sisters.

Francisco is survived by his son, Francisco (Norma) Sauceda, Jr.; daughters: Olga (Raul) Gonzalez, Isabel (Jose) Olivarez, Mary Guzman, Gracie (George) Hernandez and Christy (Jesse) Ortiz; grandchildren: Raul Jr., Andrew, Michael, Joey, Michelle, Christopher, Frank III, Isaac, Angela, Roland Jr., Andrea, Mary Grace, Georgia, Elizabeth Nicole,George, Jesse III, Jackie and Jimmy Ray; great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Raul III, Mia, Arianna, Andrew Jr., Lila, Jayden, Maria, Federicco, Eric and Patrick; brothers, Jose Sauceda of Portland, Texas and Juan Sauceda of San Antonio, Texas.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Taft. Interment will follow the service at Taft Memorial Park.
