Martin is preceded in death by his parents; and is survived by his wife of 38 years, Maria S. Gamez; three daughters, Janie (Rene) Martinez of Portland, Texas, Sandra Gamez (Ruben Gonzalez) and Hildie Gamez of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, April Villarreal and Haileigh Flores.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; with Fr. Francisco Lopez as celebrant. Burial will follow at Taft Memorial Park Cemetery.
