Adelyne Marie Merek Holbert

Adelyne Marie Marek Holbert, Born January 3, 1924 in Meeks, Texas passed away peacefully March 31, 2013 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Adelyne grew up in Fayetteville, Texas attending Fayetteville High School. She graduated from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. She Did her internship at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. She was chief dietitian at Phoenix Indian Medical Center until she retired in 1989. She enjoyed cooking, and entertaining family and friends, and loved reading. She is precede in death by her parents, Edward L. Marek and Wilma Zabcik Marek, and ber brother Edward L Marek Junior and his wife Lori Marek and Sister in Law Han Marek. She is survived by her son Eric Holbert and wife Susan, Michelle Lopker, daughter and grandchildren; Julie Holbert, Sam Holbert, Lanie Lopker, Tessa Lopker, and Jillian Lopker, brother F. J. (Bud Marek), niece Lisa Marek Wagner and husband Todd, their daughters Lindsey, Kayley; Nephew Michael Marek and wife Jennifer and their son Austin; Nephews Bruce Marek and wife Dee Deei and nephew Craig Marek and wife Sue. A memorial Service will be held Saturday May 25, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Oker, Bethren Church, Temple, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charity of your Choice.
