Artha Sue Donaldson

Artha Sue Donaldson (Johnson) was born on September 6, 1959, in Nowata, OK to Arthur and Charleen Johnson. She passed away on January 4,2026, at home surrounded by her daughter Susan, and husband Scott.

Artha grew up in Nowata and graduated from Nowata High School in 1977. Nowata was a very special place for her as were the lifelong friends she made there. She later went to school to become a medical assistant. Artha worked for several doctors in Tulsa, Ft. Smith, Vian and lastly in Tahlequah, making many friends along the way.

Artha enjoying living at Lake Tenkiller. Porch visits were very special to her. Everyone was welcome to spend time on the porch. Artha was also a wonderful cook who found joy in preparing meals for those she loved. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and connection, and sharing food was one of the many ways she showed care to family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Roger and BJ. She is survived by her husband Scott, her daughter Susan Jordan, her stepson and his wife Ben and Ally McGinnis and their daughter Juliet, stepdaughter Allison Balut and her son Cooper.

She will be greatly missed by Charlie Brown (her dog) and Lucy and Desi her cats, many friends and family.
