Dana Ann Buckhorn-Sargent was born on November 22nd, 1969 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Jimmy Buckhorn and Darlene Ann Masters. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Bobby Lee Murphy in Tahlequah, attending Sequoyah High School. Dana worked for Cherokee Nation W.W. Hastings Hospital in Medical Records. She had the kind of smile that lit up the room. She was always happy to see you and you felt like you were talking to an old friend whenever you stopped to talk with Dana. When Dana wasn’t at work, her children and grandchildren were her focus in life. Dana was the proud Mama of Charity, Rocky Boy, and Felicia. Anything that her children endeavored to do, was supported by their mother, Dana. She was their biggest fan. Her grandchildren filled her with a sense of pride and wonder. She thought they were the best people on earth. She enjoyed time spent with her running buddy, Uncle Bob Hawkins. She loved any chance her family had to get together and share a meal and the day. She was kind, considerate of others, and affectionate. Her health began to fail her and she passed from this life to her eternal home on June 13th,2015 in Tulsa, OK with her loved ones by her side. Dana was 45 years old. Life will not quite be the same without her love and support.
Dana has gone home to join her mother, Darlene Murphy, her maternal grandparents, Jacob Horton Masters and Ann Pritchett Wilson, her paternal grandparents, Chalk and Jennie Murphy, and uncles, Sam Murphy, Anson Murphy, and Wahoo Pritchett and her aunts, Pat McClendon, Sandra Cypress, Linda Dreadfulwater, Carmen Masters, Connie Pritchett, and Gina Pritchett.
