Dennis Eugene Lamb

Dennis Eugene Lamb of Oaks, Oklahoma went to his heavenly home on March 9, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 62. Dennis was born on January 12, 1956 in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Enoch and Annie Lamb. He was a lifetime resident of Perfect Valley in Cherokee County. Dennis worked alongside his dad at Zurn Industries in Tulsa, Oklahoma until he was employed by Franklin Electric.

Growing up, Dennis stepped into the role of big brother effortlessly and with a heart full of love for his siblings. He often reminisced about his softball days, playing with his friends and family for Jack’s Custom Welding team. The memories of the softball fields were always something he loved to talk about but mostly, Dennis loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. You could always find Dennis doing anything outdoors, like mowing grass, hitting golf balls, shooting guns, hunting, fishing or simply sitting in the yard, enjoying life. Dennis also was an avid OU football fan so everyone would know where to find him on a Sooner Saturday.

Dennis was preceded in death by his dad, Enoch Lamb and brother Ronnie. Survivors include his mom, Ann Lamb; his children, Lauren Lamb, Jennifer Tehee and husband Heath, Buddy Lamb and wife Kalyssa; his grandchildren, Caleb and Bailey Tehee and Emmy Gene and Easton Lamb; his sisters, Barbara Tucker and husband David, Anita Odle and husband Steve, Gina Stanley, and Susan Reed and husband Brent. Dennis also leaves behind 26 nieces and nephews and so many friends. Dennis knew no stranger and always greeted everyone with a smile and a sincere “how are you?” He will be missed greatly but his family knows that he is in such a better place, more than likely sitting under a shade tree with his dad, catching up and watching over everyone.

Pallbearers will be Derrick Stanley, Nathan Stanley, D’Anthony Tucker, Zayah Reed, Bucky Lamb, Keith Lamb, Donnie Lamb and Ryan Odle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Caleb Tehee, Easton Lamb, Colt Stanley, Elisha Smart, Travis Grigg and JT Shortt.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018, at the Galilean Church, Kansas, Oklahoma, with Leighton Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Long Prairie Cemetery, Kansas, Oklahoma.
