Freda Bell Coy

Funeral services for Freda Bell Coy will be held on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Chaplain Roger Miller officiating. Burial will be held at Dinosaur Cemetery in Dinosaur, CO. Online condolences for her family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Freda Bell Coy was born on May 20th, 1928, in Keota, OK, the daughter of Ernest and Sally (Maxie) Crawford. She grew up with two sisters and one brother, Bonnie , Betha, and Noble. She attended school in Keota and in 1945, she married the love of her life and her best friend, Burl Milton Coy in Keota, OK. This union was blessed with 22 years of marriage and four children, Leonard Coy, Janice Walden, Wanda Tosh and Pamela Arthurs. She was the best ever daughter, wife mother, grandmother and friend. When she had a little time on her hands, she could be found in the kitchen making something special for her family to eat, she did carpentry work and was always building something or heading up a work project. She was a member of the Dinosaur Baptist Church, and enjoyed time spent there quilting or helping in any capacity. She enjoyed any time she had to gather her family together for a Sunday Dinner or to sit and play board games all afternoon. She was equally fun with cards and marbles. She loved whenever her family could spend the weekend out in the sun, doing a little camping and fishing. After her husband died in 1988, she returned to Dinosaur, CO, with her daughter Janice Walden. Together, they worked and enjoyed life until Janice passed from this life on 2006. Freda returned home to be close to her family. She was always ready to spend time with her elven grandchildren and great grandchildren, she adored them and was so very proud of all they accomplished. She had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor, she loved people and was always there to lend a hand. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on February 18th, 2018 in Pryor, OK , surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old. She will be greatly missed for all the love she gave.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Burl, son Leonard Coy, daughter Janice Walden, brother Noble Crawford, sisters Bonnie Kinsey and Betha Wood, and two grandchildren, Latonia and Jason.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Wanda Tosh and husband Joe of Dinosaur, CO, and Pamela Arthurs of Pryor, OK. She lives on in her nine grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
