

ROCKY FORD, OK- Graveside services for Imogene Mae Cooper will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Oaks Cemetery in Oaks, OK with Pastor Frank Smith officiating. Interment is at Oaks Cemetery.
Imogene Mae Cooper was born on February 5th, 1932 in McCurtain, OK the daughter of Clyde and Carmen (Goins) Boren. She attended school at Porum. On February 16th, 1950, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Dale (L.D.) Cooper. This union was blessed with fifty two years of marriage and three sons, Jimmy Dale, Royce Evans, and Michael Gene Cooper. Imogene was a wife, mother, home maker. She was a member of the Teresita Ladies Home Extension. She was a wonderful cook and made the best turkey and dressing and pecan, pumpkin, and sweet potato pies. She loved flowers and raised clematis and iris to name a few. She was happy and easy going, slow to anger but quick to share an opinion. She loved her family dearly and would go out of her way to make them little surprises. A Christian by faith, Imogene was called home from her labors on October 26th, 2011 in Springdale, AR with her family by her side. She was seventy nine years old.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband L.D. Cooper in 2002.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Jimmy Dale Cooper and wife Ramona of Mustang, OK, Royce Evans Cooper and wife Betty of Rocky Ford, OK, and Michael Gene Cooper and wife Sharline also of Rocky Ford, OK. Her legacy lives on in her seven grandchildren, and her twelve great-grandchildren. Imogene also leaves cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
