Jimmy Charles Jacobs was born on Tuesday, September 5th, 1950 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, the son of Wayne Elzie and Virginia (Pierce) Jacobs. He was raised with three brothers, Buddy, Larry, and Eddy, and two sisters Jenny and Audrey. He completed high school and then started his studies at the University. He met and married his best friend, Geraldine “Dena” Ogg on January 14th, 1972 in Roswell, NM. In the year 2000, Jimmy and Dena moved to Hulbert, OK, and raised their family of one son and two daughters, Antonio, Savanah and Patricia. Time spent with Dena and the children was the most important part of Jimmy’s life. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his children and grandchildren. His free time was spent with Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing his guitar, hunting with his buddies, and watching the sun go down on his porch, with a little shot of Jack Daniels, appreciating the simple things in life. Jimmy was genuine and honest, told you how he felt, ornery, and generous to anyone that needed him. He respected everyone and expected to be treated the same. He loved music, and always had music playing and he loved to sing along. There was no time like the present to tell a story and really make it a good one. He had friends that were always there for him, and he was there for them. His family knew that Jimmy was fiercely protective of his family and friends and that he always had their backs. He appreciated the little things in life, a good day, a smile from a friend, the babies when they laughed and the love of his family. His wife Dena passed from this life in 2010. Jimmy continued keeping up with his family until his health began to fail him. He passed from this life on Thursday, June 25th, 2020 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 20 days. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Virginia Jacobs, wife Geraldine “Dena” Jacobs, and one brother, Buddy Jacobs.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Antonio Archuleta and wife Donna of Kinston, NC, two daughters, Savanah Adams, and Patricia Jacobs-Murphy and husband Pat all of Rogers, AR, two brothers, Larry Jacobs of Lost City, OK, and Eddy Jacobs, and wife Diana Jacobs of Stilwater, OK, and two sisters, Jenny Taylor and husband Jerry of Alamogordo, NM, and Audrey Chavez of Gallup, NM.
