Johnny "Jeespy" Batt

Johnny Barton Batt, or Jeespy to his family and friends, was born on February 27th, 1962 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Richard Lee and Josephine (Bendabout) Batt. He grew up with Five brothers and three sisters, Florene, Charley, Mark Allen, Tammy, Maggie, Larry, Jeff, and Jerry. He attended school and then decided to work in the transportation industry as a fork lift operator. When he wasn’t working, he was pestering his family. He loved spending time with his family, Sundays, Holidays, anytime. There was nothing he liked more than going out to get a bite to eat, or curling up on the couch to watch OU football. He was happiest riding his motorcycle, out seeing the countryside. He enjoyed the view from his own backyard the best, and never really liked large gatherings. He was quiet but once he got to know you, he enjoyed pulling a few pranks and teasing. He passed from this life on November 22nd, 2021 in Ft. Smith , AR. He was 59 years old and will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Maggie Oosahwee, his mother and father, one sister. Laura Batt-Gooley in2013, and brothers, Jeff Batt in 2014, Jerry Batt and Larry Batt.

He is survived by his sisters, Tammy McGuire and husband Wayne of Arkoma, Florene Batt of Tahlequah, Maggie Batt of Stilwell as well as his brothers, Mark Allen Batt and wife Mary Owl of Arkoma, OK, and Charley Batt and wife Irene of Tahlequah. He also leaves his many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services for Johnny Barton Batt will be held on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel. The family will receiving visitors beginning at 1:00 Pm until 6:00 Pm at Reed-Culver for Visitation. He will be laid to rest at Swimmer Cemetery .Pallbearers include Shawn Batt, Mark Batt Jr., Eric Atkinson, Casey Haley, Joey Edwards, and Jason Beaver.
