Julie Marie Mouse

Funeral services for Julie Marie Mouse will be held on Thursday, June 11th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Ballou Baptist Church in Locust Grove, OK, with Pastor Albert Wofford Jr. officiating. Julie’s Wake Service will be held at Ballou Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 10th, 2015 beginning at 5:00 PM. Interment will be held at Ballou Cemetery in Locust Grove, OK.

Pallbearers for Julie include Steven Ballou, John Kyle Mouse, Gerrad Roach, Jacob Hansen, Michael Soap, and Tony Ballou. Honorary Pallbearers include Roy Panther, Isaac Sanders, George Reagh, Joe Bacon, Willis Crabtree, and Whitney McGuffey.

Julie Marie Mouse was born on August 19th, 1977 in Claremore, OK, the daughter of Michael and Carolyn “Diana” (Mouse) Buiting. Julie grew up with four sisters and one brother. She attended school and received her certificate from Talking Leaves Job Corp. Julie was a homemaker by choice and profession. She loved her children, niece, and nephew dearly and every minute she spent with them was heaven to her. She kept a journal and wrote poetry. She liked watching movies and taking road trips with family and friends. Julie was happy to be out doors enjoying the sunshine, swimming, gigging, and sitting around a campfire telling stories. She enjoyed music, especially Cherokee Singing and square dancing. When at home, she liked to bake cakes and cookies for her family and friends to share, and made cheeseballs during the holidays as a special treat. Sitting outside with her favorite cat “Church” and her dog “Susan” was a favorite way to relax. She was quiet, reserved, and very respectful, yet her playful side came out when surrounded by her family. Julie was a dedicated Christian all of her life, and a member of the Ballou Baptist Church. She was very close to her church family and cherished all of the activities and camps she attended year after year. She spent time with the Lord in prayer and read her Bible daily. It was because of her firm belief in God and doing for others that prompted Julie to donate her organs to those who needed them most. Julie passed from this life on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 in Tahlequah, OK with her family by her side. Julie was 37 years old. She will be remembered for all of her acted of unselfish love she showed daily to all those around her.

Julie has gone home to join her mother, her grandparents, Willis and Emma Mouse, Reverend Robert and Ella Ballou, and her great grandmother, Julia Walls.

Those left to cherish Julie’s memory include her adored children, Chelayna Mouse of Tahlequah, Joshua Peters of Ft. Smith, AR, and Emlyn Mouse of Salina, OK. She leaves her father, Michael Buiting and his wife Patti of Ottowa, IL, four sisters and one brother, Jenny Mouse of Tahlequah, Willis Crabtree and companion Rosie Cordova of Salina, OK, Pawnee Crabtree and companion John White of Tahlequah, Jade Hansen of Tahlequah, and Lani Hansen of Jay, OK. She had a beloved nephew and niece, John White Jr. and Dianna White and two stepsisters, Bethany Hologa of Ottowa, IL and Zita Buiting also of Ottowa, IL, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
