

Kevin Joseph Kiely, a beloved father, friend, and community member, passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on February 6, 1958, Kevin lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Growing up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Kevin developed a passion for the outdoors, which would stay with him throughout his life. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and drawing, often finding solace in nature's beauty. His love for the outdoors was only matched by his love for his family and community.
As a devoted Catholic, Kevin's faith guided him in his personal and professional life. He was a self-employed entrepreneur, at one time owning a loan company, and worked in the real estate industry. His business acumen and sharp mind earned him a reputation as a successful businessman.
Kevin Joseph Kiely was a man of strong convictions and passions, and politics was one of the topics that sparked lively discussions and debates. Whether engaging in friendly arguments with friends or staying informed about current events, Kevin's interest in politics reflected his commitment to staying connected with the world around him.
But Kevin's greatest joy was his family. As a father, he was loving, supportive, and always there to lend a helping hand. His children cherished him as a role model and a friend. He was also a loyal friend to many, known for being the life of the party and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Kevin's interests were diverse and eclectic. He was a passionate fan of the San Francisco 49ers and enjoyed listening to the music of Tom Petty. His favorite color was blue, and he loved celebrating Thanksgiving with his family, especially the delicious food that came with it. At home, Kevin's loyal companion, his beloved dog Dumas, brought him endless joy and comfort.
Since 2017, Kevin had called Tahlequah home, where he became an integral part of the community. His generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others made him a beloved figure in the lives of those who knew him.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Those left to cherish his legacy include his son, Kristofer Kiely of Tahlequah; his daughter, Kymberly Munguia and her husband, Francisco of California; his loyal dog, Dumas; and his dear friends and neighbors, Paul and Kathleen Mills, who were like family to him.
Kevin's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. His family, friends, and community will remember him for his love, laughter, and unwavering commitment to those he cared about.
