Kheva Marie Dougherty

Memorial services for Kheva Marie Snyder Dougherty will be held on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Brother Ray Harper officiating. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Honorary pallbearers include Lance McGregor, Justin Hood, Jeremy Oxford, Bill Smith, Raymond Hood, and Blaine Manship.

Kheva Marie Snyder-Dougherty was born on March 19th, 1964 in Siloam Springs, AR, the daughter of Linford and Kheva (Phillips) Snyder. She attended school and then obtained her Bachelors degree. She married Joe Dougherty and together they raised one daughter, Jessica. There were also two stepchildren, Allen and Jodi. Kheva was one of those special people you only meet once in a while. She was the person that saw the glass half full, and the sun was always ready to break out of the clouds. She was so content with life just the way she found it. Give her a warm sunny day and she would take her family camping, fishing, swimming, and horseback riding. She had a warm and inviting sense of humor, the kind of laugh that made you smile. She would grab Jessica and two step across the living room floor, laughing and giggling all the way. She enjoyed a little spare time going to flea markets and thrift shops, looking for a real bargain. Everyone called her “Mom”. That’s because she was the woman everyone could turn to for advice, love, understanding and council. She was generous to a fault, often giving to anyone that needed her. Her husband passed from this life, and Kheva continued spending as much quality time as she could with her family. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on Friday, October 20th, 2017 with her family gathered at her side. She was 53 years old and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, her husband, Joe, and her grandparents.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Kheva of Checotah, OK, stepfather, Robert Johnson, and her daughter, Jessica Dougherty of Tahlequah, OK, and her two stepchildren, Allen Dougherty and wife Melissa Pritchett all of Tulsa, and Jodi Kefton and husband James of Muskogee, OK. She also leaves many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
