Larry Dwain Dearman was born on May 11th, 1944 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Richard and Addie (Carlile) Dearman. He attended school at Barber, and later decided to become a Master Barber. He married Gracie Moore and together they started a family of two sons and two daughters, Irene or “Sue” to her family, Donald, Larry and Betty. Larry loved his work, and had a way of making friends of total strangers. He could talk to people and make them feel as if he had known them his whole life and cared about their opinion. His spare time was spent in the great outdoors hunting or trading guns. He was always dressed in his best western attire, and loved Native art, especially the jewelry. He would watch a good western or old war movie, and argue with the news on TV. He loved the Lord and obtained his pastoral license to serve him by serving others. He loved good gospel music and enjoyed singing when he had a chance. After the passing of his first wife, Larry married Judy Joann Bennett in Fayetteville, AR, on May 12th, 2004. They enjoyed each others company and shared many interests together. The joy of his life was time spent with his six grandchildren and his great grandson. He had the smartest and most talented grandchildren ever! He couldn’t wait until they came to visit him and his trusty canine companion, Mitzy. His health began to fail him, so the Lord called this good and faithful servant home to his rest on December 24th, 2015 in Muskogee, OK with his loved ones by his side. He was 71 years old. He will be greatly missed for the smile he shared and the love he gave.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Gracie Moore, four sisters, Janie Brock, Joann Dearman, Boots Goodnight, and Charlene Price and his great granddaughter, Autumn Covey.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Judy of the home in Muskogee, and his three children, Irene “Sue” Ross and husband Dewayne of Bartlesville, OK, Donald Dearman of California and Larry Joe Dearman of Tulsa, OK, and one step-daughter, Betty Joann Rosin and husband Dwain of Sallisaw, OK. He has one sister, Fay Turman and her husband Joe of Tahlequah, OK. Larry lives on in his beloved grandchildren, DJ Ross, Alex Dearman, Joey Dearman, Matthew Rosin, Kimberly Jorgenson and husband David and Carl Byrd Rosin. He also leaves one great grandson, Dante Jorgenson, his beloved canine Mitzy, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friend and loved ones.
