

Louis “Lou” Hayes of Hulbert, OK, was born in Lost City, OK, to Turn Hayes and Jennie Keener Hayes, on November 20, 1941. He passed from this life on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Wagoner, OK, at the age of 71.
A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Reed Culver Chapel in Tahlequah, OK. Officiating will be Brother Bobby Botts and Brother David Young. Pallbearers will be Bobby Young, David Joe Young, Dean “Bub” Page, Robby Kuehne, Tony Hayes, Jeffery Jackson, Ricky Maxville, Leonard Spencer, Chad Botts, and Tim Botts. Honorary pallbearers will be, his friends from across the lake.
A visitation has been set for Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Reed Culver Funeral Home.
Lou was a very proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Anyone that knew him, knew, he lived life his way and truly enjoyed people. Lou loved his family and spending time with them as much as possible. He will be deeply cherished and missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dan Hayes and one sister Louella Kuehne.
Those left to carry on his legacy include one son; Frank Hayes and wife Melini of Glenpool, OK, one daughter; Susan Fowler and husband Chris of Bixby, OK four sisters; Mary Pilcher and husband Keith of Hulbert, OK, Vi Spencer of Hulbert, OK, Sue Switzer and husband Keith of Tahlequah, OK, Debbie Jackson and husband Jeff of Wagoner, OK, and two grandchildren Blake Fowler, and Jacob Hayes, as well as a host of other family friends and loved ones.
