Mary was a housewife most of her life, but when her husband, Lloyd, passed, she worked as a Home Health Care Provider in the Hulbert area and Tahlequah. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attending church was her passion. She also frequented nursing homes or hospitals to visit people she knew.
Mary had one daughter, whom she dearly loved. That daughter gave her four grandchildren. She doted on those grandchildren, often bringing them special treats like pop, candy, or home baked treats to their home in Lost City.
As time went on, the grandchildren grew and then Mary had great-grandchildren to love. Her health didn’t allow her to dote on them like she had her grandchildren.
She entered the rehab center of CCNC on February 16, 2016. As her health began to deteriorate more, she was transferred to Gore Nursing Center to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to CCNC of Tahlequah, Gore Nursing Center, and Emerald Hospice for the love and care they extended to Mary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Marshelia (George) of Webbers Falls, OK; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a niece and nephews and other extended family members, and a host of church family.
