Minnie Lee Vann was born on November 18th, 1950 in Tahlequah, Ok, the daughter of Jimmie and Charlotte (Osage) Keener Sr. She grew up with a brother, Jimmie and a sister, Alice, attended school in Hulbert and then attended classes to become a Certified Nurses Aide. This would be her life’s work she did for 20 years. She was the proud mother of three sons and two daughters, Sam, Mark, Mike, Lisa and Molly. She was a kind, loving woman with a servants heart and a sense of duty that meant she was there every day she was scheduled because she knew they needed her. When she had a little free time, you can bet it was spent with the children and grandchildren she adored. She loved to go to the kitchen and cook a big meal for them all to share. Holidays were always a lot of fun. She loved to do special things for the family. They would gather and spend the day laughing, joking and having fun. She loved to curl up on the couch and watch old westerns, Law and Order, Supernatural, Smallville and Christmas Disney movies. She kept her mind sharp with crosswords, and other activity books. She loved to hear the old gospel songs in Cherokee, and was a Baptist by faith. The Lord called this wonderful mother and grandmother home from her labors on Monday, May 17th, 2021 in Tahlequah, OK. She was 71 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mom and Dad, and several Aunts and Uncles.
