Sandra Ann Roy was born on January 30th, 1965 at the Dorchester Hospital in Boston, MA, the daughter of Franklin Everett and Joan Marie (Keddie) Morris. On May 4th, 1988, Sandra married the love of her life, Richard Roy, in Miami ,OK. Together they raised three daughters, Cynthia, Lisa, and Susie. Sandra was a Certified Nurses Aide and loved the clients entrusted to her care. She was always thoughtful, loving and big hearted, with attitude! She was a woman who knew her mind and how to express her feelings. She worked for a time caring for the Little Sisters of the Poor, and she made every effort to include them in every special occasion she could. When she wasn’t working, Sandra could be found spending time with her family. She enjoyed time on the computer connecting with friends on Facebook. Reading was a fun past time for Sandra as was listening to music. She loved music, any kind of music, but had a special love of Barbara Streisand. She also possessed a beautiful voice and sang when asked. There was always an afternoon spent shopping or the occasional trip to the casino to spend a few hours with friends. Her most treasured time was spent with her family enjoying a meal and a laugh or two. She had a smile that could light up the room. A Christian by faith, Sandra was raised in the Roman Catholic faith. Her faith helped sustain her as her health began to fail her. Sandra, in her usual fashion, met illness head on and on her terms. Strong willed to the end, the Lord called Sandra home from her earthly labors on Sunday, August 4th, 2013 in Tahlequah, OK with her loving family by her side. Sandra was 48 years old. Her smile, her zest for life and the love she shared will be greatly missed by her family and all those blessed by her friendship.
Those left to cherish Sandra’s memory include her husband Richard of the home. She leaves three daughters, Cynthia and husband Casey, Lisa and fiance Garrett, and Susie. Her two sisters and one brother include Rosemary and Wayne , Susan, and James and wife Tammy. Sandra left behind two very special people in her life, her parents, Frank and Joan Morris, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
