Shyla Zennair Miller

Shyla Zennair Miller was born on August 21st, 1971, in Inglewood, CA, the daughter of Phillip and Billie Jean (Davis) Miller. The family with additions of Brice, Starla and Christina, returned to Oklahoma and Shyla graduated from Oaks High School in 1989. She enrolled in NSU and began her general studies. Shyla started a family and raised one daughter and two sons, Cyndul, Michael and Shadoe. She worked at a variety of jobs, including fabrication and at Tri B Nursery. When she wasn’t working, she liked to go to flea markets and auctions, looking to add to her collection of angels, teddy bears, and safari prints. She loved the music of the 80’s and was always listening to her favorite tunes at home. She was content to stay at home, cooking her favorites like Greek chicken with rice for her family and her special companion, Angel Rodriguez. She would check up on her friends daily on Facebook, sharing the latest news with her family and friends. Her best part of the day was when she was with her beloved grandkids, Daylen and Devon, she adored them. They made her smile and she loved to tell them stories and keep them company. Shyla passed all too soon from this life on Friday, October 21st, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. She was 45 years old. She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends.

Shyla is preceded in death by her dad Phillip, her mom, Billie Jean, her brother, Brice, sister, Christina, and her aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish her memory include three adored children, Cyndul Miller and companion Darnell Sayles of Tulsa, Michael Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, and Shadoe Miller of Tulsa, OK. She leaves one sister, Starla Miller of Tulsa, OK. Shyla lives on in her grandchildren, Daylen and Devon Sayles and a new baby on the way, as well as her nephews and niece, David “Krewz” Miller, Savannah Miller, and Payton Miller, and a host of friends and loved ones.
