Tilda Louise Christie

Tilda Louise Jumper- Christie, or Jissy to her many family and friends, was born on July 3rd, 1974 to Mary Jo Jumper. She graduated from Sequoyah High School and on October 1st, 1994, she married the love of her life, Daniel Joseph Chrisite in Rocky Ford Community, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with three sons and one daughter, Jacob, Jonathan, Jeremy and Jennifer. Tilda , or Jissy to her friends, worked at Cherokee Nation as Clerk One. You could easily recognize her as she had a warm smile and sparkling eyes that lit up each time she passed by you. She loved people and loved spending time with them. She was happiest in life when with her Daniel and her four children. She loved being a daughter, wife, and mother. She enjoyed keeping her home and her flower gardens. She had dreams like everyone, and had always thought of a trip to the ocean to see the beach and sunrise. She dedicated her life to her Lord and Saviour in her early teens. She was a faithful member of Mulberry Baptist Church and traveled to every gospel sing in the community she could attend. In 2011, she began a battle with cancer. As always, Jissy remained upbeat and positive. She wanted another day and chance to tell her family how much she loved them. Her body grew tired and the Lord called Jissy home from her labors on October 27th, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. She was only 40 years old. She left some empty places in many lives, but her legacy of love and loving life lives on.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Minnie Jumper and one uncle, Jerry Dean Jumper and mother-in-law Sadie Hummingbird.

She will be forever remembered by her husband, Daniel of the home in Tahlequah, OK. She leaves four adored children, Jacob Christie, Jonathan Christie, Jeremy Christie, and Jennifer Christie all of the home in Tahlequah. She has one brother, Johnny Jumper and wife January of Rocky Ford, OK. Her sister and brother-in-laws include Josephine Nunez, Joe Christie III, Elizabeth Christie-Keener, Nancy Little and her loving mother and father-in-law, Joe and Marilyn Christie. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
