

Tahlequah, OK- Memorial services for Troy Leo Hanna will be held on Wednesday, December 31st, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Gospel Lighthouse church in Kansas, OK, with Brother Sam Andrews officiating. Online condolences for his family may be left at www.reedculver.com.
Troy Leo Hanna was born on June 20th, 1963 in Grand Prairie, TX, the son of Henry Howard and Maverneen (Howerton) Hanna. He was one of five total children. Troy graduated from North Bend High School. He moved to the Tahlequah area in 2002 and began his career in law enforcement in 2005, serving as a peace officer with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department. Troy was a man of diverse talents. He enjoyed hunting deer and camping in the wild. Yet he was just as comfortable writing poetry and songs. He was mechanically gifted and owned his own shop in Tahlequah. Those lucky enough to know him, would attest to his quick and witty banter as well as his funny comebacks. Honesty was a trait he valued above all others. He adored his family. Troy married Carla McMannis, this union was to last 27 years, until Troy’s passing. Together they raised their children and enjoyed each others company. There was nothing made him as happy as when he was in the company of his children and grandchildren. He was a Christian by faith and attended the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Kansas, OK. The Lord called Troy to his Heavenly Home on December 24th, 2014 in Tahlequah, OK. Troy was 51 years old. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all the acquaintances he has made along life’s way.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his son, Ryan Hanna.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carla Hanna of the home in Tahlequah, OK. He leaves one son, Stephan Hanna and wife Kayla of Tahlequah, OK and two daughters, Amanda Hanna of Tahlequah, OK and Amber Moore and husband Darin of Olympia, WA. He has one brother, William Hanna and wife Nina of Mapleton, OR, as well as three sisters , Elizabeth Russell and husband Garland of Tahlequah, OK, Mary Dolese and husband, Alan Augayo, and Deanna King of Siloam Springs, AR. His legacy lives on in adored grandchildren, Layla Hanna and Alex Moore as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
