

Tahlequah, OK- Funeral services for Wenona Ann Leach will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Elm Tree Baptist Church with Chaplain Lou Ann Hunter officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th, 2014 from noon until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel . Online condolences for her family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Wenona Leach was born July 19th, 1977 in Claremore, OK the daughter of Lois Leach and her stepfather, Jim Deason. After completing school, she began a life long career of being a certified nurses aide working at Grace Living Center, NEO Health, and Carter Home Healthcare. She also worked as a receptionist at Cherokee Nation Real Estate. Wenona loved people. She had the kind of smile that put people at ease and enjoyed talking to anyone. Her sense of humor was sharp and she had no problem voicing her opinion about any topic discussed. Wenona adored her daughters and built her world around all of their activities. She couldn’t wait to see what their next excitement would be. Her family and friends were also important to her. She was always willing to spend time with her family and enjoyed making them cheeseburgers, frybread, and her famous cream cheese delights. She was usually listening to music, and was fond of a wide variety from country to rock and roll. Wenona left this world all too soon on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014 in Tahlequah, OK with her loved ones by her side. She was 37 years old.
Wenona is preceded in death by her beloved grandmothers, Nancy Leach and Agnes Proctor.
Those left to cherish her memory include her adored daughters, Deanna Leach, Destiny Nutter, and Peyton Deardeuff all of the home in Tahlequah, OK. She leaves her very special friend and companion, Paul Deardeuff also of Tahlequah, OK. She is survived by her mother and step father, Lois Leach and Jim Deason, one brother, Joseph Leach of Tahlequah, OK, and her aunt, Emma Dorman and husband Harvey of Salina, OK, as well as many cousins, friends, and loved ones.
