William Shell

Graveside funeral services were held 12:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in honor of William Shell., age 68 of Vian, OK. He passed from this life on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at his home in Vian, OK with his family at his side. He was born on October 28, 1945 to Charly and Nellie (Christie) Shell in Tahlequah, OK.

William served in the United States Army during Vietnam in 1967 where he received a purple heart. William and his wife, Carolyn Denny have enjoyed many wonderful years together.

William was a member of the CornerStone Church in Gore, OK. He loved to be in the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed getting a chance to play a round.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of the home, one son, William Shell Jr. of Broken Arrow, OK; one daughter, Samantha Baldridge and husband Eli of Bentonville, AR; one brother, Robert Shell of Broken Arrow, OK and three sisters, Charlotte Blakemore and husband Noon of Broken Arrow, OK, Peggy Jefferson of San Francisco, CA and Lula Shell of Las Vegas, NV. His legacy lives on in his seven grandchildren, Slade, Candance, Mason, and Isaac Baldridge of Bentonville, AR and Marcus, Bryan and Justus Shell of Broken Arrow, OK as well as a host of friends and other loved ones.
