Allison Jane Cartledge

Allison Jane Cartledge was born in Tallahassee, Florida on May 21, 1945 and she passed away at her home on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Her parents were Callie and Lester Cross, founders of The Country Flower Shop. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Guilford Walter Cartledge; her daughter Kimberly Madden (husband Steve Madden); her daughter Nicole Cartledge; and her son Stephen Cartledge (fiance Yera Gadea) and her grandsons Pierce and Michael Madden. Her siblings are Bill Cross (deceased), Betty Hagan and Nick Cross. She went to Leon High School and graduated in 1963.

Jane was a devout believer in the saving grace of Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her life and she shared that with many as she had the heart of an evangelist. She had a special calling to help and mentor women in whatever way needed. Jane's home was a place of refuge for any hurting soul. Friends and neighbors were known to seek her out for comfort. Her living room was a frequent gathering place. She had very loving Bible Study group that met there many times. Those people were her church body. Her legacy of love and kindness will surely live on through those she helped and mentored.

She will be remembered for her love of decorating, crafting and thrifting. She was humorously known to rearrange furniture on a regular basis. However, her true love was her family.
