

Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Saturday, November 6, at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST Sunday, November 7 at Roselawn Cemetery on Piedmont Drive, Tallahassee.
Bryan was born in Colon, Panama in 1924. He enlisted in the US Navy on July 7, 1943 serving his country in World War II. On March 23, 1946 he received an honorable discharge as an Aviation Machinist Mate 3rd Class. On May 11, 1946 he married Eleanor Peacock – a love affair that lasted over 50 years. During that time he moved to Tallahassee and raised a family and grew a successful office supply business. He is remembered by friends and family for his deep involvement in the community, especially with the Boy Scouts of Troop 110 who was recently acknowledged as one of the most successful Eagle Scout troops in the area, and his coaching of little league baseball.
Bryan is survived by his two children, John Maher and Jan Vores, his daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Maher, his son-in-law, Steve Vores, his nephews, Stanley Peacock, Mark Peacock, and Stanley Maher, his niece, Dottie Whitehead, his cousins, Bill and Claire Peacock, his granddaughters, Diana Steubing, Laura Bird, and Tiffany Vores, his grandson, Steven Bryan Vores, his grandson-in-laws, Kris Bird and David Steubing, and his great grandson Aidan Steubing. He was the first great grandfather in the history of the Maher’s.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor, brothers, Stanley and George, and his Dad, Bryan A. Maher and his mom, Maude Vezian Maher.
