He completed bootcamp in the Army (Ft. Knox) and was honorably discharged. He was married to Glenna Willhoite on February 22, 1958.
Carl was a Farmer and worked as a Carpenter/Electrician for the State of KY. He was a former member of the Bagdad Ruritan Club and Lawrenceburg United Pentecostal Church – both in KY. He was a current member of Pentecostals of the Capital City, Tallahassee, FL.
Carl was preceded in death by his Father, Otto Bowen; Mother, Gladys; sisters, Catherine (died as an infant) and Dorothy Booth; and brothers, Bobby and Bowen. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glenna; four children, Tammy (Danny Huba), Ricky (Deby), Annette (Scott Culp) and Kevin (Chera). He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Katie (Jamie Eberhart), Shenae (Joel Andrus), Nathan (Liz), Tiffany (Jonathan Bonilla), Mason (Michelle), Charity Huba, Luke, Devin Culp, Chelsea, and Logan Culp. Additionally, he had 6 great-grandchildren; Tulsa Eberhart, McKenzie, Grace, Emma, Coy, and Ella Andrus. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
There will be a viewing August 9 at 11am at 228 Gaile Avenue, Tallahassee (Former location of Apostolic Church of Tallahassee). Funeral services will begin at noon with interment following at Tallahassee National Cemetery (5015 Apalachee Pkwy) at 2pm.
