
He was a loving father to MaryAnne Camarda and a loving grandfather to Michael Carlin Camarda.
Visitation will be held 2:00-5:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM Friday, May 27 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. Funeral mass will be held 10:00AM Saturday, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Carlo Santilli was born in Steubenville, Ohio, November 10, 1921 to Joseph and Marianna Santilli. He was the first of six children. He grew up in Staten Island, New York. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific. In the Navy he served aboard the USS Aegir, particularly at Midway Island. He worked at AMBAC Industries and United Technologies as an Industrial Engineer. He belonged to the American Society of Refrigeration Engineers. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member and a thirty three year member of the Holy Name Society while living in Hempstead, New York. He and his wife Rose moved to Tallahassee in 1985. He worked briefly for Parisian when it was under construction. He happily settled into retirement to be a devoted grandfather to Michael Carlin. Carlo's life was filled with service and help to his family, friends and neighbors. His life's hobby was also to be building and creating projects from a large household to crafting small metal lathe projects. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church while living in Tallahassee.
He was preceded in death since 1985 by his wife Rose, also two brothers John and Joe and one infant sister Elizabeth.
He is survived by two sisters Mary Grace Santilli and Angelina Phillips; two sister-in-laws Mary and Marie Santilli, and many loving nieces and nephews. Memorial gifts in memory of Carlo may be made to the American Heart Association or to Maclay School, 3737 N. Meridan Road, Tallahassee, Florida,32312.
