

Born on November 27, 1957 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was the daughter of the late Russell N. Corso and Barbara Langhammer. Cathy graduated from Rodger Ludlow High School in 1975 and continued her education at Phoenix University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She worked for SNET/ATT for 32 years until her retirement. She was a devout member of the Hamden Elks Lodge #2224 and a proud member of the Hamden VFW Post 10321 Ladies Auxiliary. Cathy enjoyed being part of a team and dedicated thousands of hours volunteering for both of these organizations. Volunteering for Veterans was one of her most enjoyable activities. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was passionate in many things. Her love of carousel horses began early in life and continued throughout her life. She was a “wizard” and a perfectionist at knitting and knitted hundreds of items for friends and family members. Cathy was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed playing bingo with friends and family. She enjoyed gaming and entertainment at casinos in Connecticut or wherever she visited during her travels. One of her most cherished past times was sailing on cruise ships, 28 cruises in all, and never passed up an opportunity to lay in the sun on a beach.
She is survived by her husband Harvey White, two sons, Anthony R. Britto (Kelli) of Ormond Beach, FL and Barry C. Wilson (Melissa) of Hamden, CT; her 6 grandchildren, Brianna, Eric, Anthony, Antonia, Gabriel, and Isabella; her twin sister Barbara Corso-Langnehs (Lou) of Tallahassee, FL; her brother, Russell Corso of Milford, CT; her sister Patty Webster of Leadville, CO; and brother Jimmy Corso (Lanell) of Derby, CT; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cathy was a friend to all, full of life and energy wherever she went. Her personality was always lively and entertaining, and she will forever be missed.
