

Charles Louis Bell, known to family and friends as “Charlie", passed away on June 7, 2017, at the age of 76, in Tallahassee, Florida. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Charlie joined the United States Air Force when he was 20 years of age. He served his country for four years, journeying to Brevard County, Florida, where he happily lived most of life.
Charlie began his career as an electronics technician, assigned to the NASA Public Affairs Office at Kennedy Space Center. In a career that spanned nearly three decades, Charlie, eventually, accepted a position as Supervisor of NASA Select Television for Lockheed Space Operations. Charlie received multiple distinctions and awards throughout his years at KSC. He served in numerous organizations, including the Florida AFL-CIO, Space Coast AFL-CIO, IBEW Local 2088, and the Brevard County Democratic Executive Committee. In every instance, Charlie rose to positions of leadership.
In his free time, he loved to cook, joke and be surrounded by family and friends. He was renowned for his amazing Halloween parties and Thanksgiving celebrations. He was known by all for his warm smile and his hearty laugh, always finding the humor in life. He carried a kind soul, one who would do everything he could to help others.
He is survived by sisters, Judy Parker, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Marilyn Lenard, of Tallahassee, and Connie Page, of Frankfort, Kentucky, as well as brothers, Larry and Jeffrey Bell, also of Frankfort. Charlie will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and their children.
Charlie chose to have no formal service, but a Celebration of Life memorial will be held at date to be determined.
