He was the beloved son of Walter Dutschke and Joan Harper, and devoted his life to being a steady, unwavering presence for the people he cared about.
David’s greatest joy and deepest purpose came from his family. He was a proud and loving father to his two sons, and a dedicated supporter, mentor, and steady pillar to his nieces and nephews. David lived each day with intention — to lift others up, to show up without hesitation, and to give the kind of love that made people feel safe and seen.
Known for his outgoing spirit and warm, infectious presence, David was a light in every room he entered. He had a way of making strangers feel like old friends, and those who knew him felt fortunate to have crossed paths with someone so genuinely kind. He was loved instantly and completely by anyone who had the privilege of meeting him.
David took immense pride in his career as a lineman, working on power lines with dedication, skill, and respect for the trade. He was proud of the hard, honest work he did and the service he provided to his community. His work ethic reflected who he was at his core — strong, dependable, and always willing to carry the weight when others needed him.
David’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and unshakeable support. His impact will continue to live on in his family, in the many people he touched, and in the stories and memories that will be cherished forever.
