Dr. Dennis G. Raitt

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 5, 1944. Dennis received his DDS from Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry and was a beloved dentist in the Tallahassee area until his retirement in 2018. Dennis was an honorary member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association. He had a passion for his patients and regretted having to retire.

Dennis was an amazing artist, creating various bronze sculptures as well as wood caricatures of various subjects. He truly had a gift for teaching Sunday School and even wrote three different Christian books. He had many interests including scuba diving, the outdoors, traveling, history, and the Old West.

Dennis loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Raitt. He is survived by his wife, Janine Raitt; son, Robbi Raitt (Pam); daughter, Terri Bleam (Doug); stepdaughter, Jenni Huston (Shane); grandchildren, Tula, Pixie, Poppy, Sarah, Samantha, Sabrina, Joey, Johney, Niyah, and Tommey; and three great-grandchildren; brother, Marc Raitt (Andy); sister, Boni Raitt; and many other relatives and close friends.

A visitation for Dennis will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A funeral service officiated by Pastors Tom Underwood and Allen Gonzalez will occur Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Capital City Church, 6115 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32308. A burial following the service will occur Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
