Dilip was born to the late Bhaichandbhai Patel and G.S. Manibahen Patel in Sevalia, Visnagar, India on May 6-1967. Born and raised as Pure Vaishnav, he enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. Dilip graduated from L. D. Engineering college and received Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Ahmedabad, India. Dilip worked as Civil Engineer at Ahmedabad Municipal corporation until he immigrated to USA in 2012.
Dilip was preceded in death by his father Bhaichandbhai Patel and is survived by his wife of 27 years Surekha, daughter Nimmi, son Dhruv, mother Manibahen, Brothers and sisters-in-laws, Ramesh- Ushaben and Paresh-Yamini, and their children Priyanka, Bhavik, Dhenu, Sonu and Shiv.
Due to COVID-19, funeral service will be held privately, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 10:00 am. Community viewing will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 (please follow social distancing and mask guidelines). This will be followed by a private cremation ceremony for the family only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Gujarati Samaj of Tallahassee.
