Dora, 94, entered into rest on March 1, 2013.
She was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. She was raised by her grandparents, graduated from business school, and worked in Liverpool where she was injured during an air raid in 1940. She emigrated to the United States with her young family in 1953. Dora and her husband moved to Tallahassee in 2007.
She had a life-long love of flowers and gardening. Dora is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Leukanech and her husband Stephen; one grandchild, Lindsay Anne Leukanech; one son, Ronald Shearn; one half-brother, Stephen John Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wilfred Shearn.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on March 6, 2013, at Culleys Meadowwood Funeral Home-Riggins Road Chapel.
