After 87 wonderful years, Edith Burrowes King Mason, left our world peacefully and gracefully on March 3, 2011 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 8, 1923. Married to A. Heywood Mason for 65 glorious years, she leaves him with their four children: Edith "Edie" M. Goldie (Mike), Roswell "Bruzz" K. Mason (Lois), Sharon "Sherry" Mason McCord, and Claudia Mason (Jody Elliott) as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service will take place at The Episcopal Church of the Advent's Memory Garden, created in loving memory of Edie's first grandchild "Three" Goldie. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, Tallahassee, Florida on Monday March 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, Edie would encourage us all to support the good works and deeds of our own favorite charities.
