Elaine P. McConnell, 91, of Tallahassee, died Thursday (6/29) at her home. A native of Summerville, NJ, she came to Tallahassee 28 years ago from Pensacola. She loved sports and followed all the FSU teams. She also enjoyed playing golf.
The widow of Retired Navy Captain John Hoffman McConnell, Jr., she is survived by her sister-in-law: Sally McConnell; daughters: Sally McConnell, Lee Phillips, Jill (Timothy) Meenan; and grandchildren: Gail Baitinger, Grant Phillips, Mac Meenan, Clay Meenan, and T.J. Meenan.
Following cremation she will be buried with her husband at Barrancas National Cemetery.
