A year has passed and Gene is missed as a business partner and friend.  As I travel and talk to business associates people share wonderful stories of Gene and the shock that he has passed on to heaven.  His legacy lives on in each of us that he touched.

Gene was a father figure to me in college. He would take me to work out with him. I enjoyed every minute of it! He was with a mutual friend a few months ago and he sent me a picture just to say hello.
That winning smile and big heart made my day just like it used to  back in college. I love you bro!

I knew Gene from FDOT and as a neighbor here in SummerBrooke.  He was a quality individual with an outgoing and positive attitude. Gone way too soon.

Gene and I have been best friends for over 35 years. We worked together, fished, rode motorcycles, worked out at the gym and consoled each other on various projects. Gene was always excited to discuss the next fishing trip and adventure with the family.

He was very passionate and patient with people and always ready to help when needed. We will very much miss him and his sense of humor and care for others.

I’ve known Gene most of my life as he was married to my sister, Judi. I don’t think I have ever known anyone who was as loving, energetic and forgiving. Family was the very most important thing in his life other than his passionate faith in God. Gene loved much and loved deeply and let you know it. He loved life and enjoyed every moment he had here on this earth.  He was a friend to everyone he met and would go beyond what most would do to help others. I have no doubt God will say “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

In 2017 our family became very fortunate to move next door to some wonderful neighbors! Never met a man so PASSIONATE over loosing a big fish, will miss you buddy!
